FEATURES, SHORTS, DOCS AND MUSIC VIDEOS SINCE 1996

WELCOME TO THE BRITISH INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY COFFEE FILMS

Established as a short film collective playing with camcorders in 1996, Coffee Films was awarded at MIFED as one of Europe’s best emerging independent film production companies in 2004.

Our environmental documentary Last of the Scottish Wildcats catalysed a decade of conservation efforts, which unfolded as we traced 30 years of post-punk history in the music documentary The Death and Resurrection Show.

Shot across six continents with artists including Killing Joke, Jimmy Page, Dave Grohl, Alex Paterson, Chris Kimsey, Nigel Kennedy, and Peter Hook, the film premiered at a sold out NFT1 and was widely acclaimed by critics and film festivals.

Current and recent film projects include music videos for Ignition Records and Warner Music Group, conservation shorts syndicated to National Geographic, BBC, ETToday, Yahoo, Upworthy and national newspapers, and a development slate of feature and documentary films.

“One day some little fat girl in Ohio is gonna be the new Mozart, and make a beautiful film with her little father’s camera corder and for once the so called professionalism about movies will be destroyed, forever, and it will really become an artform.”
